diving with nitrox (EANx) gas on koh tao
[ENRICHED AIR NITROX : EANx]
Enriched air equals longer bottom time, therefore Nitrox diving is becoming
more and more popular around the world. Enriched air offers more than
that though. Knowing how to use Nitrox will open up many doors for you.
Any technical or decompression diving with gas switches such as in the
Tec-Rec Deep Diving Course, requires a solid foundation on how to use blends
with even more than 40 % oxygen.
Being a Nitrox Diving Instructor enables you to teach Nitrox courses thus increasing
your opportunities. If you haven't done so already, you must first take
part in an Enriched Air (Nitrox) specialty course. During the Nitrox
specialty course you will learn the theory behind Nitrox diving, how
it increases your bottom time, advantages and disadvantages of Nitrox
diving and actually dive using Nitrox.
During the Nitrox specialty divng instructors training you will be guided by a PADI
course director. You'll learn how to teach Nitrox theory as well as
supervising Nitrox dives. You will gain more experience in academic
presentations and increase your overall diving knowledge and confidence.
The course takes only 2 days and after this you get 1 aditionnal
Nitrox dive for experience.
The package costs 8'000 THB which includes both student and instructor
courses as well as the 8 extra nitrox dives.
Not included in the package but required are the Nitrox student crew
pack, PADI Nitrox Instructor outline and application fee to PADI.
