DAN AP scuba diving insurance provides a worldwide emergency evacuation coverage and an optional dive injury (Treatment) insurance services for its members. In addition DAN is responsible for funding and/or manning 24/7 diving emergency hot-lines throughout the whole Asia-Pacific region.

DAN AP is a part of the International DAN Federation of Dive Safety Organizations with worldwide Membership presently exceeding 300,000.

In the year 2007 DAN had to take care for the evacuation of a paralyzed scuba diver from the Solomon Islands all the way to Australia! The cost of the evacuation was around 90,000 AUD$ including the rescue aircraft brought to the location. The treatment costs were an additional US$30,000, plus the still on-going expenses.
